For my first post (it’s me Andrew Kuklinski) I want to talk about a type of training that most climbers tend to ignore, mental training. I read this book “The Rock Warriors Way: Mental Training for Climbers” by Arno Ilgner.
It discusses what goes on in your head when you are faced with an extreme challenge and what you can do to over come that challenge and perform at your true potential. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an advantage to send that next project or anyone looking to get over the sometimes intense aspects of climbing. The topics in this book were put to good use a few weekends ago when I ended up leading some very mental pitches on Black Orpheus.

Cool. I’ve been wanting to read this.
