Yes, there’s a National Doughnut Day, and it’s today. A coworker had just finished explaining how he’s getting fat and decided not to bring in doughnuts, when he found out about the holiday. Honestly, I’m surprised we didn’t get the day off, alas, Phil ended up buying doughnuts, and I sat on my butt for 6 hours.
It can be hard to make the right choices, when the wrong ones can be so easily justified.
On a different note…
Last night I went to see Sam Elias present about climbing in Venezuela. This show could have been great, but it was so poorly produced we almost walked out.
This guy is sponsored by BD, and Millet, and climbs 5.14. The presentation basically consisted of some very shaky uncut videos with crappy sound and no narrative. The guy could have just showed some pictures while talking about the trip- That would have been 20 times better.
That said, the show was free, with free beer, so it wasn’t all bad. [end of rant]
Heading the Shelf Road this weekend. Oh, and I think I’m buying a really video camera, so look forward to some better videos in the future.
