Its been awhile since the last time that I posted anything but here over the next few days I will be posting trip reports and other adventure happenings to get everyone caught up on life down here in the dust bowl known as Las Vegas. I do have a good reason for not posting, been climbing to much (is that possible?)!!
I will start with this past 4th of july weekend. I had Friday the 3rd off so my friend Nora and I headed up to Mt. Charleston just out side of Vegas to get some spectacular limestone climbing in. This would be a perfect time to paste a link to mountainproject to show you all the routes but there none of the routes that we did are posted. Instead here is a picture of the guidebook.

We climbed a warm up, Big Flake 5.8, then got into some moderates to get the feeling for the rock “The Harder They Come 5.10c” and “The Rooster 5.10c”. All of these climbs are on sharp and super solid limestone. The Harder They Come goes up this really cool water gully and its like climbing on dull razorblades. Ever since i was up there, i need to get back to get on some of the harder routes in the area!

The next day involved lots of sleeping and lots of climbing in the Black Corridor out in Red Rocks. I have been looking at this Rebel Without a Pause for a while and finally lead it no problem! Sunday brought somewhat of a rest day, with slacklining in the park and ice cream!!! It was a damn good weekend!!

Sounds like a sweet weekend man! Hope its not getting too hot out there yet, those summer can be killer.
