I got down to Denver yesterday to shoot some graffiti. It’s crazy, I went to the art district (10th and Santa Fe) with no interest in checking out the countless galleries. Enjoy the video.

  1. Nice video, man. It's too bad that you had no interest in visiting the galleries, though. Blake Flynn has a show going on in the district right now. Besides, you might have been exposed to more diversity in medium and artistic intention. I will say, though, that I can be surprised by what someone can portray through some letters written on a wall with a few bottles of spray paint. If you like graffiti, you might like Banksy, banksy.co.uk.

  2. Glad you liked it Ryan. Yeah, I enjoy the galleries sometimes (like for Lindsay's show), but it just wasn't why I went down there. Banksy is cool, thanks for the link.

The point I was trying to make with the video is that all these beautiful paintings are in the art district and they truely are art, but they're just not in the galleries.

Also, it was interesting to see the stark contrast between the vivid paintings and the bleak surroundings- maybe that's why some people choose to spray.

  3. Wow, Eli. I'm more and more impressed by your video editing everytime I see something new. Keep it up and you'll have no reason to go back to this stupid engineering thing!
