Mark pulling in the Surf Bowl

The fully loaded pick up flashed it’s brake lights.  “run!”  We hopped in the back and rode into town: Dust in eyes, cramped, smiling.  We hopped out to the Tuesday market, a weekly circus, of sorts, in Hidalgo.  With empty packs, and a check list, we set out for weekly groceries, amid yelling, laughter, and confusing.Everything is going well here in El Potrero Chico.  The famine is over.  I came here without any friends, and tonight, I shared a steaming pot luck with many new friends.  Yesterday, I climbed 800′ into the dessert air- good for the soul.  Andrew is scheduled to arrive in a couple days.  All is well.  Here are a few photos, talk to you soon.-E

Looking through your picutres, I have to remind myself I’m not looking at a National Geographic or something. And that the person behind the camera is not some stranger having some adventure in some far off place. It looks like you’re having a great time. I can’t wait to hear about it when you get back!

I’m happy to hear that you met some good people there. Keep the updates coming.
