Flagstaff Sessions

The last few weeks have been very busy. I’ve been playing soccer and softball, finishing up the semester, working hard including passing my final Ph.D candidacy exam and I just returned from a molecular physics conference in Houston, TX. The highlight of the conference had to be last night’s annual CU vs. MIT/Harvard softball game. We won a 10-7 thriller with the help of Eric Cornell, a Nobel prize winning physicist!

But I’ve been doing some quality climbing as well, with plenty of recent trips to Eldo, a memorable day at Lumpy Ridge, multiple days deep in the Flatirons (check back later in the week for more posts) and plenty of sessions at Flagstaff after work, having a beer and working tough problems. Below I’ve posted several photos from a few of these nights.

Ryan working a V4 in the middle of Three of a Kind Wall

Tyler bearing down on small crimps while he gets his feet up on The Face, a tough V3

Will...Trying hard

Tommy working an unknown arete (V3) in the Flagstaff Amphitheatre

Starting The Traverse (V4/5)

Topping out was spicy.

Thanks to Tyler and Ryan for photos!
