Climbing House was created in 2021 with the mission to make rock climbing accessible to everyone. While the climbing community is as welcoming and friendly as it gets, it’s always impressive and intimidating to get started!
Our goal is to create and curate great resources to make the experience as easy and inexpensive as possible, whether you want to join a bouldering gym or tag along on outdoor rock climbing trips.
What’s more, we’ll share the stories of climbers from all horizons, beginners and experienced, to try and grasp what it means to climb – stay tuned!
Kevin Le Gall
Originally from France, Kevin now lives in Barcelona, where he climbs in the gorgeous surroundings like Montserrat and Siurana. As a relatively new climber (he started climbing 4 years ago), he’s always eager to learn new skills and techniques to be able to experience more epic climbs. In another life, he used to work 9-to-5 in marketing for companies like Booking.com, Uber and Under Armour.
Owen Clarke is a lifelong rock climber and climbing journalist who has been climbing for 15 years. He cut his teeth on the sandstone of the Southeastern US, and today has climbed rock routes and summited peaks on five continents. His work has appeared in many of the world’s leading climbing magazines, including Rock & Ice and Climbing. Owen is an editor for the American Alpine Journal.
Eric Neyer has been climbing for 25 years and still believes he hasn’t reached his peak. Currently based in southern Colorado and always exploring for the next classic crag or boulder.
Wren Cilimburg is a freelance writer and rock climber currently traveling the American West in search of sunshine and new climbs. Wren grew up in the mountains of Montana and went to school in Southern California, where she fell in love with rock climbing at places like Joshua Tree and Red Rocks. When she’s not climbing or writing, Wren enjoys drinking coffee, reading books, and laying in the sun.
Contributing Writer, AMGA
Teddy grew up in California, went to college in Colorado, and ironically discovered rock climbing in the flatlands of Southern Illinois. After his first outdoor trip, Teddy dove head first down the climbing rabbit hole. Ten years later, he’s an Apprentice Rock Guide with the American Mountain Guides Association. He’s climbed all over the continental United States, and South America, most notably the Cordillera Blanca of Peru. His favorite form of climbing is traditional multi-pitch climbing.
